Southern California Association for the Deaf (SCAD), is a non-profit organization that was established in January 2016.

Stop AAPI Hate is a nonprofit organization that runs the Stop AAPI Hate Reporting Center, which tracks incidents of hate and discrimination against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) in the United States. The organization was formed in 2020 in response to racist attacks on the Asian community as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

SCAD provides the Health education in accordance with the idea that the deaf, hard of hearing, deafblind, and deaf-disabled community’s best possible defense against illness and disease is obtaining accurate information and a commitment to improving health, knowledge and empowerment of the community.

SCAD will assist DHH participants/clients to schedule doctor’s appointments, contact ASL Interpreter agencies regarding Employment Service, Independent Living Skills, and so forth.
