Employment Service
SCAD will refer DHH clients to Job Development and Placement services through our partnerships with the Greater Los Angeles District EDD and Department of Rehabilitation offices in Southern California for comprehensive services including assistance with developing resumes, preparing for interviews, job search, placement assistance, job retention training, and more. We do not have a current job developer whose budget is funded by SCAD, so services are provided on a limited basis.
Vision Statement
The goal of the SCAD organization is to advocate, seek equality, and promote self-awareness through empowerment for Deaf/HOH individuals who seek our assistance; and to enhance the awareness and understanding of Deaf Culture and to meet their unique communication needs.
Interpreting Service
SCAD will assist DHH participant/client to schedule doctor’s appointment, contact ASL Interpreter agencies regarding Employment Service, Independent Living Skills, and so forth.
